Inviting all people to experience true fulfilment in Jesus Christ

Jesus said, “I came that they may have life, and have it to the full”.John 10:10.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

  1. The Bible is the divinely inspired Word of God
We believe the Bible (the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments) is the divinely inspired Word of God.  It is without error in the original text, true, authoritative and sufficient for faith, life, church doctrine and practice.
    2 Peter 1:20-21, 2 Timothy 3:16-17, Psalm 19:7-11

  2. The Godhead
The Bible teaches there is one God, existing eternally in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, being distinct in personality and function, yet equal in essence and rank, and co-dependant for existence.
    Deuteronomy 6:4, Ephesians 4:5-6, Galatians 4:6

  3. The Father
The Bible teaches that God is the Father, who is holy and almighty, infinite in wisdom, merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in love and faithfulness. He hears and answers prayer, and He saves from eternal death and from hell all who believe in Jesus Christ as Saviour.
    Exodus 34:6-7, Isaiah 6:1-3, Romans 11:33, Revelation 4:8, Psalm 10:17, John 3:16-18

  4. Jesus Christ, the Son of God
The Bibles teaches that Jesus Christ is the revealer of the Godhead, truly God and truly man. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, His ministry revealing who He is and what He came to do.  He died on the cross, was buried and rose again on the third day and He ascended into heaven where He now intercedes for His people.
    John 1:1,14, Matthew 1:20-23, Luke 24:1-12;  Acts 1:9-11, 1 Corinthians 15:3, 2 Corinthians 5:21 Hebrews 7:25

  5. The Holy Spirit
The Bibles teaches that the Holy Spirit is fully God.  He convicts people of their sin and need for Jesus Christ and indwells permanently each new believer when they ask and accept Jesus as the one who died for their sin.  He provides the power for godly living.
    John 16: 7-11, Ephesians 1:13-14

  6. People and the need of Salvation
The Bible teaches that God created Adam and Eve in His image and in a state of sinlessness, but through wilful rebellion against God, they sinned and thereby incurred both physical and spiritual death, which is eternal separation from God.  We believe that through the fall of Adam and Eve, all human beings, while still bearing the image of God, are now born with a sinful nature.

The Bible teaches that only through repentance from sin and the confession of faith in the person and work of Jesus Christ can someone be reconciled to God.  The believer receives forgiveness of sin, security of salvation for eternity and experiences all the blessings of salvation.
    Genesis 1:26-27, Genesis 3:1-19, Romans 5:12, John 3:3,7, Romans 3:23, 6:23 2 Cor 7:10, Romans 5:6-11, 2 Cor 5:18-20, Acts 16:31, Romans 10:9, Acts 2:38 Ephesians 1:7

  7. The Local Church
The Bible teaches that the local church is a fellowship of all who have been justified through faith in Christ alone, who have been baptised by immersion and seek to remember the Lord’s Supper as Jesus taught His disciples in the Upper Room.
The local church is shepherded by elders who shepherd the church providing pastoral care, teaching and direction.
    1 Corinthians 12:12-13, Colossians 2:12, Galatians 3:27, 1 Peter 3:21, Luke 22:14-20 1 Corinthians 11:23-26

  8. The Future
The Bible teaches that Jesus Christ will return as He promised to take His church from the earth to heaven. Then the Great Tribulation will happen on earth before Jesus Christ will return to reign for 1000 years.  After this there will be the final judgement, the eternal joy of the redeemed in the presence of the Lord, and the endless suffering of the unsaved in the lake of fire. God will then make a new heaven and a new earth, in this creation, the redeemed will dwell with the Lord forever.
    1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, Revelation 4:1, Revelation 20:1-6, Revelation 20:11-15, Romans 2:5-7, Hebrews 9:27, Revelation 21:1-27
